➀ Tasting Notes: A broad-ranging nose is very Vosne in character with its aromas of hoisin, soy, exotic tea and anise on the red and black pinot fruit scents that display moderate secondary influence. The surprisingly forward and supple medium-weight flavors are not particularly concentrated but do offer the hallmark RSV refinement, all wrapped in a bitter pit fruit-inflected finale where a touch of dryness slowly emerges. I like the persistence, and this is very classy, but the balance isn't quite completely dialed in. I would be inclined to be drinking this over the next 5 to 8 years as I fear the dryness may become more pronounced with extended time in bottle. — Burghound
