PAMES-B2014
Alter Ego de Palmer
2014 (750ml)
✪ Many said the Chateaux's consistent quality rivals that of the First Growths. Despite being a designated third-growth in the 1855 Classification, it is one of the so-called "Super Seconds"
✪ Château Palmer is often touted as the only wine to rival Château Margaux within the commune of Margaux
✪ Robert Parker once commented "Palmer can be as profound as many First Growths... The style of Palmer is one of sensational fragrance and bouquet, so much so that great vintages can be identified in blind tastings by their smell alone

Tasting
➀ Tasting Notes: It has an opulent, glossy bouquet with layers of small dark cherries and plenty of glycerin. The palate is more reserved than the bouquet suggests: saturated tannins, a little chewiness on the entry but suppler towards the finish. It feels very linear in keeping with the style of the vintage, the finish a little sweet than its peers with a dab of licorice on the aftertaste. — Robert Parker
