➀ Tasting Notes: As noted in Issue 5, Gevrey was especially blessed in 2000 and the superb Bize Latricières only further corroborates that view. Pure, sappy, intense, earthy red fruit aromas coupled with fine, mineral-laden, precise flavors that culminate in a finish of pure velvet. There is good structure here but it is so wrapped in sève that it's completely buffered. This is not a huge wine but rather one of discretion and finesse with perfectly integrated acidity. Lovely and quite long. — Burghound
