➀ Tasting Notes: Here there is more aromatic depth with a more forthcoming if not actually expressive nose featuring both ripe blue and red pinot fruit, wood spice, stone and touches of underbrush and warm earth that merge into full, rich, intense and as one would expect, distinctly powerful flavors that possess plenty of dry extract that renders the firm tannins almost invisible though I suspect they will make themselves felt going forward as this will also need upwards of a decade to fully resolve. A balanced and serious Bonnes Mares that is worth consideration. — Burghound
